Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Work Camps

Handy with a paint brush? Have an eye for landscaping? Or do you just like rolling up your sleeves and working with a group? Do we have opportunities for you!

There are plenty of service projects on our campus for youth groups, civic clubs, and other organizations. In the past, these work camps have painted cottages, landscaped the grounds, cleared the pond, erected a fence on our softball diamond, helped with spring cleanup projects and much, much more.

TEEN COURT

Volunteers are what make any Teen Court run. We rely on volunteers to serve as members of Teen Court in various capacities, whether it be a juror or attorney. Volunteering can be a rewarding experience, and unlike many other types of community service, Teen Court is unique in that its participants gain valuable information about the legal system, get to interact with elected and appointed government officials, develop critical thinking skills, develop public speaking skills (for attorneys), meet a diverse group of people, and are empowered with the responsibility of sentencing teens who have committed crimes.

The ladies meet on campus on the second Tuesday of September, October, November, April, May and June. The highlights of the calendar include the group's annual food auction during its November meeting and the campus picnic for staff and residents in June.

The Auxiliary has also provided birthday cakes for each resident and has been active in several fundraising projects for campus ministries.
